FS Hobbyking Trooper modified
I bought a Hobbyking Trooper to try out and it's a very solid truck. Raced for a month and not a broken part. It's been modified over the stock Trooper which addressed any weak spots.
It'll come ARTR like out of the box with a 35amp brushless esc (up to 3s) and a Tacon 3500KV motor. I upgraded the shocks to Associated aluminum shocks in a better upright position, installed Losi 8ight sway bars front and rear, did a bearing modification in the steering to take away the normal slop that comes with the trooper's steering. The truck also was upgraded with Associated tires up front and Calibers on the rear versus the stock crappy tires. All of the "issues" with this truck have been addressed. It will also come with a bunch of spare parts. The receiver isn't included.
Looking to get my initial investment back for the truck only, $165 shipped lower 48. The upgrades, tires and spare parts, consider a bonus. This truck is 10 times better than how a stock trooper will handle.
The left is what the steering looked like stock, the right is my bearing mod (takes away all the slop in the left picture)
