It is nice, pictures a good detailed description everything we look for in a for sale ad. Except two bumps in one day. Should he just get an infraction or does deleting it make more sense ? I believe deleting teaches the lesson better.
So his got deleted also correct?

My ads are about the same with detail and pictures and information,

Understand the logic but if it is one bump per 24 hours then it should apply to all like the above guy.

Not arguing but what applies to one should apply to all.

Yes, his was deleted too. You had 3 different mods delete your threads for the exact same issue. The rules are clearly laid out and sticky'd to the top of the for sale thread section. Some get away with the bumping because it's not noticed, we don't go and constantly check every f/s ad for violations. 99% of the time it is reported by other members (via the report post button in the thread).

Thank you guys for clearing things up - here and PM's.

I did get notice of only 2 infractions also so I am not sure what happened on the other.

Will help maintain my postings better and monitor others.

I see this A LOT, people posting questions or saying "I'll take it send your PP info" in FS threads.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't subscribe to my FS threads. So if you post in my thread asking a question or saying you want to buy an item. I may not see it for days, because I'm not a believer in the "gotta bump it everyday" theory, the search function works

My thinking is that if a person is truly interested, they'll send me a PM. Anyone with items for sale should be checking their PM's regularly, or at least you think they would. You can get notifications for PM's too ya know

That brings up the "PM sent" post that people post in FS threads. Great for the seller, it just bumped their thread to the top. As a buyer, I'll NEVER do this. Why? Why would I want to bump a thread for everyone to see, potentially get others interested, and possibly get beat to the deal by another buyer?

Just some food for thought on what I see.

"Selling for a friend" Who cares! I'm dealing with YOU and YOUR account on this site! Do you think for some reason that if there's issues that you're somehow not responsible? WRONG! Man if you're selling something for a "buddy" you better make extra sure you know what YOU'RE selling! It's not gonna be your buddies issue, it's gonna be yours!

This is Internet GOLD right here! Lets just leave this here, and let MeasuresMicrons read this back and forth conversation... over and over and over until he understands why we are all laughing at him.

I wonder how long it will take for him to figure it out... who wants to wager?

(oh, and by the way... there is no "freedom of speech" on a privately owned discussion forum)
