***For Sale: 1/18 4WD BRUSHLESS Associated RC18R ARTR/UPGRADES/SPARE PARTS LOT***
This is a lightly-used, adult-owned RC18R (with SHAFT driven chassis) that was only run indoors on carpet. It was never run outside, or on dirt or pavement. Check out the pic of the chassis bottom. I have installed a number of upgrades for it to make it competitive. The car drove like it was on rails at the 2010 Micro Indoor Off-Road Nationals, where I placed third in the A Main.
Things of note:
The body has a few cracks that were repaired with Shoe-Goo on the interior, and Oracal 951 clear adhesive vinyl on the outside. Very strong repairs!
The foam tires that are mounted are trued down to 42mm, but are split in a few places from racing. They are definitely usable, but perhaps only for practice.
The HS-65MG servo is mounted with a zip tie and the strongest 3M double-sided tape I could find. This tape is soft and extremely sticky. The servo does not move!
Prior to use, I extended the wires of the ESC a little, hence extensions were soldered on. No effect on performance.
NO TRANSMITTER, NO RECEIVER.
