Feeler thread. Just wanna know what this old thing is worth.
 

Have a old COX onroad nitro rc car. Probally 30 or more years old, all the stickers on it fell off from the cold but still have them and have the controller. The box says it is an Interceptor with 2-speed throttle. Not sure if its worth anything or not just wondering.Still have the box in great shape and all the cardboard that came in side the box. Looks like its in great condition. Have no clue if it runs or not. Has been sitting in a box for probably 20-30 years or more. Has a little 0.049 engine in it. Like i said just wondering if it is worth anything at all. This is a feeler thread. Thanks

Thats awesome, Have you done any research as far company name? I would contact your lhs maybe the owner or someone in there has some info. Pretty cool car. Maybe you could take it to the antique road show LOL! Its probably worth $10,000.

There are a couple pages of vintage cox RC cars on ebay. Take a look....not real high dollar but they seem to be fetching a little bit of money.

It's hard to put a value on that as it's such a small market. $120-$200 on ebay if it's as clean as you say:confused:

I had one of these... it was my first rc car :spidey: Bought it innnnnn 1976 at JCPenneys with my paper route money :lol: The fuel tank was so small, by the time you got it tuned... it almost was out of fuel. Wound up putting a larger airplane tank in it... would run about an hour then.... and ran the snot out of it!!!!!

I see them from time to time... also see them in red... and free running ones without radio...

How do you like that big servo/rx/battery box... :lol:

I'm interested (somewhat)... but I have toooo many projects right now. This does look to be the most "complete" one I've seen

yeah my dad said he got it from the sears warehouse. Everything is there but the manual.

So whos interested and for how much if foresale?
