Dirt or Road motor
 

I get lost in the marketing adjective hipe - is that motor for dirt or road?

It is used in 1/8th scale buggies most often (offroad)

Road or Dirt
 

Maybe this is the wrong place to ask, but what is the primary engineering difference between road or gas? - I'm looking at the specs and for some engines - the specs are the same for road or gas.

Some of the dirts have a longer stroke - probably for more torque
but, if the specs are the same - I dunno, seems weird huh?

Piston material is usually different as the off-roaders have to survive more dust. A lot of on-road engines hit harder off-idle which can make them hard to drive on a slick off-road track.
