Default NIP Mamba Max

I've got a NIP Mamba Max ESC and Castle CM36 4600 KV motor for sale for $150 shipped to 48 states. Here's a pic, still in the box:

EDIT: Motor sold

Will sell ESC for $105 shipped.

If you could, please take a picture of the 4 holes on the shaft side plate. I once purchased a "new" mamba setup to see the motor had been installed. Thanks.

I'll get you that tomorrow.

I was going to do it anyway because someone who saw the pic said the motor was "obviously used" because of dirt in the indentations in the back of the motor. Well, there are no indenations in the back of the motor - the label is flat, but the guy had never seen a castle motor before. I guess the flash didn't reflect well of the label. I'll have pics tomorrow, and also take the parts out of the box for all to see.

I'm not trying to hide anything - I just thought it was important to see that the 4600 I was offering was actually a 4600.

Ok, here's more pics. If you look carefully you can even see the black anodizing inside the screw holes. No connector has been soldered to the ESC wires and you can see the white wires of the motor and ESC have not a spec of dirt or a smudge on them. It is new (but not Neu ).

Of course, now I'm not sure I can get it packed back up like it was.

Would you trade for a new unused unsoldered mamba monster ESC?

I'll sell the ESC and motor separately for $154 total (additional $4 because I have to ship two packages instead of one).

If you want the ESC for $100 and the guy who wants the motor is willing to pay $54, we can do the deal. That was just an example. Any combination the two of you agree upon is fine with me.

Mostly. It will not work well with the higher wind brushless motors designed for sensored operation like the 13.5 and above Novaks, Trinitys, Tekins, etc. When I say "not work well" I mean the higher turn motors are hard to start properly without the sensors and this controller does not have a sensored mode. It should work with most any 2-4 pole motor deisgned for sensorless operation.

It is designed as a 2s-3s controller though many people have used them on 4S in 1/8th scale conversions (including myself). I've run one with a Neu 1512 2.5D for a whole season of off-road racing and it works perfectly.

It is 1/10th scale though many people have used these for 1/8th scale electric conversions before the Mamba Monster and Tekin RX8 came along.

It probably will work with a LRP vector 6.5. I have run a Novak 8.5 with a Castle sidewinder (lttle brother to the Mamba Max) and it worked fine (actually better than using a Novak ESC because of the tuning options in Castle's controllers).

You are asking just about the controller but I am wanting to sell the whole package. Maybe you can find someone that will buy the motor if you don't want it.
