Two very large gashes in the sleeve from the gravel running inside the engine.

Wow indeed, I'm still digging into this...........
Header has a restrictive bend. The twist doesn't seem to photo well, but it's visible. This being the very least of it all.

That is unacceptable
. You should get your money back
. This type of dishonesty is what makes people not want to buy stuff from this site. I see this persons trader rating is good but this incident doesn't reflect good on them. Hopefully they man up and give a full refund

I just want to point out the only reason why I bought from the relatively new seller is because an established member put his neck out and vouched.
Sometimes people don't look inside engines before they sell them, who knows.... The seller has the benefit of the doubt here until I hear from him.
There are a (very) few parts here worth trying to salvage (small parts) and I'll take a partial refund to solve the issue.
Payment: $85 shipped
Refund: $55
--------------
Total for the few working parts: $30
Hopefully the seller shows himself as honest and takes care of this mistake.
On another note, RCjunky10 sold me an engine also and it was fantastic! http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=220171

has he gotten a hold of you yet?? if not I would do a paypal complaint and get your money back quick

He says the engine came this way to him in a trade and he actually took the guys word for it.
He has since made a partial refund to my paypal account tonight of $40, which I appreciate his efforts even if it is less than what I asked. I have a little bit too much in small parts cost, but the effort of him working with me is acceptable.
I believe he'll do well from here on out if he remembers to check engines before selling them.

Thanks for all your help.
I've actually started dremel-ing this block out to see if it is salvagable as a case. It'll need bearings and piston/sleeve at a minimum, but I'm trying to see if the crank is destroyed or not. I might spend the money on a rebuild.
Good thing I'm honest, because I am really good with a Dremel. This engine would pass on visual inspection if I were to sell it. (which there is NO chance of). Compression is dead from all the scratches on the sleeve and piston, plus the two big gashes on the intake side.
