If your wife lost it, why are you responsible?

My exact thoughts. How about she sells her toys to get another ring. Damn I would be thinking twice about that and more about running away.

Uh...I've been married 29 years. We both take responsibility for what we do or don't do. That's probably why it's worked so long. I'm glad my wife don't go for the bling-bling. A simple gold band has been our symbol of our love for all those years. But I guess if diamonds are what it takes for you to be happy, then by all means, go for it.

Your Home Owners or renter's insurance should cover it even in its base coverage. Loss is no different than stolen.

ps send picture to [email protected]

good luck!!

Typically a specific item such as a ring, where the value may have been determined by an appraisal, may need to have rider to a homeowners policy. Whether your homeowners covers it on the base policy, I recommend getting a specfic rider for it so there is not confusion and its insured value is carried by the rider.
