No, the RDX is a world class asphalt chassis. I have a thin chassis for asphalt racing, all the roll centers and springs you would want. You don't 'have' to, but most people prefer to run a front one-way / spool in front when running rubber tire asphalt.
If you are interested I could look up a setup for you and put it on before shipping. If you can show me pictures of the track it would help, but above all, thanks for looking!
