Brand New RTR (less TX/Body) Losi 1/8th Electric Late Model/GT8
Up for sale is a brand new Losi 1/8th Electric Late Model (or run as GT8) based on a Losi 8ight-E 3.0 with a Castle Mamba Monster 2.0 Brushless system.
The car is a brand new kit assembly with a brand new Castle Brushless system. Neither the car nor the brushless system have ever been run on a track, or even on the street - only bench tested. It has a Spektrum receiver waiting to be bound to your Spektrum transmitter. The following parts on the car have been used previously:
* Receiver - Spektrum SR3000
* Airtronics 94359 Servo (0.10 sec & 200 in-oz @ 6V)
* All four of the shock springs (from GFRP)
* Tires - tried out once on the street on a Slash 4X4 (w 17MM adapter)
* Front shocks
Wait a minute: I said "All new" - how could the front shocks be used?
The answer is that I found that the 3.0 front shocks did not allow full proper suspension travel with the dirt oval front shock tower. So I put on a set of the shorter Losi 8ight 2.0 shocks on the front and used the 3.0 front shocks on the rear. The original 3.0 rear shocks, as well as the original 3.0 front springs and spring cups are included with the car. (I realize it might be kind of annoying to have two different kind of shocks on the car, but these work and using the 3.0 shocks in the front would not have.)
The late model specific bumper, body mounts, and bumper foam are all new and if you've looked for this stuff you know how hard they are to find (and what you have to pay for them when you do find them).
Tires have been balanced and run smooth. Spring set up is for high bite - you will need different ones if you run loose dirt. Unused parts from the kit are included along with the other halves of the spring pairs on the car (but forgot to include those in the pics).
I have a short video of bench-testing the car (actually "floor testing, since it was on the floor).
Asking $650 plus shipping for the car. Everything has been packed in the original 8ight 3.0 kit box by removing the front bumper and rear body mounts (see the last pic). Box is 19X13X5 and weighs 10 pounds. I calculated shipping from my location to another NJ location at $14. To California shipping would be about $45. I will cover cost of insurance and signature confirmation out of the sale price.
If someone were to buy this locally via pickup, I will give them one of my used bodies. But it does not make sense to try to ship this with a used body: doing so would increase the shipping cost by between $10 and $35 because of the larger box and additional weight.
