How can you tell if it's on thick enough ?
I tried the sponge brush and there's spots that are so thick, you can't really see threw it .
Is that how thick it needs to be all over, or should it be transparent?

I tried spraying it on with my air brush , I can spray it with out thinning it , but it gos on pretty thin , and it seems like it would take along time to spray the hole body like that. Help!

easiest way is to use a 4cm wide brush that has plastic brisstles (thin brisstles) the cheap brushes you can get from hardware stores are good. natural bristles tend to soak up the glue, but the plastic bristled brushes work great and wash out the glue very easily.

if been using the same brush for about 10 bodies, and i have gotten used to the application method, 1 thickish coat is usually enough. i dip the brush in, make sure there is a god amount on the brush and spread it around so there is roughly a 1 to 1.5mm film left

if you can see the brush strokes very heavily/pronounced on the glue, it is probably due to the fact you brushed over it too hard and made a thin section.

either that or just do a second coat.

I use brush, apply the mask, let it dry and apply another coat again. I usually apply 3 to 4 coats.

Default 16 oz or 32 oz

How many bodies can you do with the 16oz bottle of liquid mask?

Was debating about the 16 oz or 32 oz bottle.

Thanks.

Get the 32oz bottle then when you get low, call the number on the bottle and order a gallon from Bob directly. It'll be a heck of a lot cheaper in the long run.

Spraylat is $60 for a gallon from coast, shipping is a flat $7, so it seems pretty cost effective to me...until you compare it to a gallon of elmer's:

http://www.artstuff.net/white_glue.htm

20 bucks??? Wow, that's comparatively cheap.

Okay, so the MONEY question is, have any of you used BOTH Spraylat and Elmer's, and which one works better?

Hee Guys,

I just ordered Faskolor Fasmask. The shop that caries the liquid mask stuff near me only has Fasmask.
I have never tried it before, always used TESA maskingtape (is like 3M), but wanted to trie liquidmask.

Have you guys any specific tips for Fasmask? Thick coat; extra thick coat?

If I was to spray it on with my airbrush, with wat should I thin it?
Denatured alcohol or so?

Hope you can help.
Thanks

RA

you just brush it on like any other liquid mask. Three coats is all you need.

That stuff kinda smells like cheese. So use it outdoors. Other than the smell it works great.

You can just use windex to thin the mask for spraying. If you do go that route, you'll need more than 3 coats. Probably more like 6. And you need to clean your brush immediately when you're done as it will clog it up pretty bad.
