How do I create this anthracite grey color
Hi,
I'm going to paint a scheme for myself, I'm an airbrush and made several body's already. I wanted some kind of grey/pearl in my body and I found this on facebook.
Does anybody know what colors are needed to make this grey parts in this body? On one of the pictures there are bottles in the background, but I can't indentify them... Hope anyone can!

Thanks, will the pearl effect still be visible after backing with black?

Looks like the painter uses faskolor paints...
I'd assume he laid a base of faschange blue, backed in faskrome, then back by black or white depending on how light or dark he wanted the silver...
Here's a pearl effect I did in white with faschange red.

If I had a nickel for every time we answered a question where the obvious answer is:
"Try it and see what you get."
The fun of this hobby is creating something! Maybe you will find a better result in your trials. Experiment on scrap materials until you find the effect or color you seek. Then apply it to the body. Colors are not exact, and techniques are only a suggestion. You make it your own when you find it and apply it the way you want it to look.
As for materials, yes, FasKolor and Wicked Colors are back there in the photo.
Lastly, if the example you like is on Facebook, you can try asking the artist. Many painters are fine with sharing how they achieve an effect or color.

Fogged all the way with translucent black and some silver such as createx mixed with a drop of black .
I could be wrong, I mean there s no way too tell for sure and plus what you're seeing on your screen might be different than on my screen. It has a metallic pop on my screen on the bottom corners but it could also be the picture.

I'm going with black and gunmetal grey, and then backed with the faskrome you see in the background, there is actually a few progress pics of various schemes on Max's FB page, he hits with a hard black outline then throws in the black textures, the gun metal will come next and then backing with silver lightens the gunmetal a bit, done it on several shells myself.
