I use 2 Iwata brushes,Highlines, eclipse airbrush also the Badger 360 all of them work great for me.:cool:

Hi guys, I want to airbrush a few 1/10th RC Lexan shells. Has anyone used Tamiya acrylic paints? If so does it stick good to the lexan? Cheers

Gotta save, after a few years my Iwata is still laying the paint down great! I won't use anything else...

I haven't used an airbrush since high school, and that is over 15 years ago. I just picked up this brush to get back into the swing of things, seemed like a good deal. Can't wait for it to get here.

Starting to paint not sure but looking at a few brushes the VL is one and this is the other. Any input from you would be appreciated.

Gravity feed is better in most cases. It uses less air and it is easier to get into tight places with. I would go with an Iwata if you ask me. There quality is second to none.
I have a HP-CR coming in the mail either sometime tommorow or the day after. I will let you know how it is when I get it.

I personally like IWATA, I would go with a gravity feed brush over a siphon feed because there is less of a chance of an air interruption (spiting) when you are spraying. With a gravity feed brush the paint sits above the brush and kinda drops into the brush unlike a siphon feed brush when the paint is sucked up out a jar.

Not much just working a lot, 10 to 12 hour days, new job is really cool! As for the brush, go with a dual action brush over a single action, with the dual action you have more control.

I bought the Iwata HP-BCS. Being that this is my first brush I didn't want to spend a great deal, but also wanted to get something that I was going to be happy with. I think I paid 90 bucks for it, have painted about 10 little toy car bodies, and even have done some work on the Big car with no problems. Someone had said earlier that the gravity feeds are better for getting into tight places, I couldn’t agree more. That’s the only issue I have about the BCS is the fact that you have a jar hanging off the bottom. But if getting into tight places isn't a big deal then I'd say the BCS would be great for anything you might need.

paasche vl with gravity cup, abl turbine(yes I am left handed), and a devilbiss for larger stuff. as i'm sure many of the previous posts said, gravity fed is definitely the only way to go.
my brother-in-law has an iwata. it's a nice airbrush but i can get the same results with my vl, and better results with the abl. i think it's just what you're used to.
