Question for painters new and advanced..

Hey Painters and Enthusiasts!
Throwing the idea out there. If one would host an RC Airbrush Rendezvous for a weekend, covering basics, techniques, stencils, and even vector art/plotter classes, would anyone be interested in attending? Obviously there would be a fee for the instructors but would anyone find it worth it? I been wanting to do one for YEARS..i think this could be a GREAT time. Thoughts?

Hi Charlie,

Met you at GLARCRC last week while we were tearing down the track. As long as it's an off-weekend, I'd be interested. Would it be a hands-on workshop format or more of an instructional/lecture/demo format? Either way, count me in!

I think it's a great idea. I'd be happy to either attend or instruct.

I have 26 years of experience in the graphic design field, have run a sign shop, and have been a tutor at the local community college in the graphic design program. I'd be happy to share what I know about Illustrator, masks, plotters, etc.

This would be a FULL hands on RC Airbrush clinic with paint, airbrushes and other materials provided that is included with the cost. Bodies will be provided or you can bring your own. In the end, one should be able to paint a great looking body and take with them what they have learned. I think it is totally doable and could spark a lot of interest for future classes.

I'll help however I can. Just let me know if you need it.

No problem. My day job is web site design/development so I can help with that as well if you need it.

I realize I'm putting the cart before the horse here, but I could see a body company helping to sponsor the event. They could donate bodies (or wholesale them) and when people signed up they would have get a body as part of their entry fee.

That is correct and is already in the plans. ALL materials will be provided including airbrush and paints.

If we can get a class of 10 or more, that would be pretty awesome!
