Default Removing Polycarb paint

Question: how do you remove poly paint when painting inside of RC car body? I tried lacquer thinner but it scratches the body. Will anything else work? Thanks-

I tried acetone, took the paint off nicely but ruined the body. I thought it was going well but then noticed the bod was getting really brittle.

Believe it or not, but brake fluid works. It is a slow and messy process, but does the job. Just take your time, let it sit for awhile after you have agitated it. Wipe it off and repeat until you get the results you like.

Thanks! Might save me from buying a new body?

After 2 hrs of soaking and wiping. I gave up and just bought a new body.

NON-ACETONE nail polish remover, works great and fast! Wont ruin your body either. Walmart brand works great, wont turn or soften your body or make brittle.

None of this actually works* 100%. Just get a new body. If you can't afford one, then you are in the wrong hobby.

Not trying to be a ass, just some truth there.

Denatured Alcohol works. I also use it to prep the bodies. Take a bit of scrubbing but it will come off clean without damaging the body

Your always better off buying a new body than trying to use a old body

Sometimes that's not an option. For those of us who are into vintage RC, sometimes a new body is a ton of money, if you can find one at all.
