Default Lexan Body Paint not LHS

Other than a LHS (RC) .

Is anyone aware of paint that is available for Lexan bodies within a Hobby Lobby or Michaels etc???

Any advice appreciated.

All the Createx/Wicked stuff works for airbrush. The Testors lacquers in spray cans work also, just remember to go with many light coats vs a couple heavy.

hobby lobby sells createx. same as fascolor from a hobby shop. if there are any auto/body supplier stores in your area they may have auto air. auto air is my personal favorite.

I have also messed around with some of the acrylics from Michaels. They work on lexan, but you really have to thin them out with water or suitable paint thinner, like AutoAir 4011,etc..

With light coats, they do bond on flex just fine. And many of them are just under $1 for a 2oz bottle.

I have tried some of the Folk art brand paints also from Hobby Lobby. Probably similar to the ones Dave is talking about for less than $2. They do require a ton of thinning but still spray nice. I havent had any issue with them yet but I have only tried them a little over the last 2 months so I cant really say for certain that they hold up as well.

If nothing else, the Folk Art black and white are fine as backers. They bond to other paint as well as needed. The only paint that bonds to plastic is the first coat. The paints that go directly to the lexan are the critical ones.
