I'm planning on painting the outside of a lexan body other then cleaning it really well is there anything else i should do? Scuff it up maybe? What type of paint should i use? Can i use spray bombs from home depot or something like that or do i have to use RC lexan paint? Any help would be awesome i'm trying to do this on a budget

It is more advisable to use the R/c paints designed to adhere to Lexan. The home depot spray paint wont allow for any flex and will crack/chip really easy. Any particular reason for painting the outside of the body? It will be way more susceptible to scratches and damage than painting the inside as designed.

Also, the lexan spray paints (for the amount of paint you need anyway) aren't ridiculously expensive.

I painted one body on the outside with Krylon plastic paint. It held up great too. I scuff the body with a red scotch bright pad before painting.

Search Google for it but you can remove the bad paint job with brake fluid... I forgot if it was dot 3 or 4. I think it was 3. Comes out clear and ready to repaint.
