2.0 body on a 1.0 8ight-T
I've been searching for the past few weeks for a solid answer on putting a 2.0 on a 1.0. I have come up with no solid thread or post about it. In fact, I got a lot of wrong info about it. So I gathered what little information I got and just tried it.
I picked up a set of 2.0 body mounts. $5.
Installed fronts. Obvious.
1 rear mount installed perfectly in the lower middle of the shock tower.
I reamed out the front 2 holes in the body with a cone shaped dremmel bit. To push them in a tiny bit.
Cut about 3/4" off the rear of the 2.0 body. This was a ctually a bit more than neccessary. I'd say shoot for halfway between the 2 existing mount holes. I used a cutting wheel on the dremmel for this. Used electrical tape to make a nice straight line to guide me.
