Default couple quick hitter questions...i hope.

I broke out my iwata hp-cs eclipse for the first time for a while. I thought I clean it good, but I am getting intermittent paint blow. Sometimes I get air out fine but no paint. I thought I clean the needle tip and nozzle good, but does this sound like an issue with those two items still?

quick paint questions...is year old water base faskolor still usable, if mixed good? I am going try some RCS paint, lacquer base for the first time. Will regular brush cleaner work for after paint or do I use lacquer thinner?

if you have a CS, then chances are the WB paint is a bit too thick if it's a year old. Try just spraying a ton of warm water through it. Then take it apart and clean all the pieces. If it's still giving you problems, clean it with AutoAir airbrush restorer- that's the best there is to clean out old, dried out paint.

+1 on the AA ab restorer, its the best thing for getting dryed up paint out. As for the RCS I've found that plain ol rubbing alcohol works great to clean up between colors.

Thanks for the responses and I have a couple follow ups.

In regards to the old faskolor, its too thick and i should just trash it? Or its too thick and I need to just thin it out. Right now I am not thinning it at all.

Is this the right AA AB Restorer

Can this stuff do any damage to parts of my brush. Are there things I should not soak?

Thanks again for all the help

Agreed

As to the AA restorer do not soak any rubber/teflon parts, it will damage those if in contact for very long.
