Spraying Liquid mask, thin it?
I have a cheap Harbor freight spray gun just sitting around. Was wondering if you need to thin out the LM before spray and if so with what?

Thanks MX. How many coats do you prefer?

I use a cheap external mix Hobbico to spray. I thin with water as little as possible til it sprays even and lay down 3-4 coats as mentioned above. If too thin it doesn't cover think enough and end up with really thin patches that are a pain to peel

I'm usually pretty stubborn when it comes to techniques I don't usually use...but I have 6 bodies that need to be prepped and I really didn't feel like doing my usual 5 coats of hand brushing the mask....SO I got a HF $15 detail spray gun and sprayed the mask that way.
I used 50 PSI with the mask thinned about 20-25% 3 coats is equal to my 5 brushed.
I swear I saved a TON of time (and it looks smoother). I also saw somewhere somebody made a "cure" box. That saved some time as well as opposed to me rotating the bodies in front of a space heater.
I will never brush liquid mask on again.

Spraying LM
When you guys spray your liquid mask do you leave the left over in the container or clean it out like your airbrush? I only do about 2-3 bodies a week so I don't want to use it if I am only doing one body.

Just pour it back into the container. Do not leave it in the brush. It will dry out and then you will have problems.

I only use the spray gun when I have numerous bodies to mask, dump the excess back into the container and run some warm water through your gun, and that should be enough.
