Cans only...
Hi guys,
Just thought I'd post a couple of pics of my latest shell, a Tamiya Subaru Legacy B4, after my Losi Skoda took an unbeliveable beating over tha last few months... (blame starting drving again, jumping straight into mod )
Anyway, not much at the mo, it's just all masked up waiting for the black detailing to go on.

A few things to note.
the main body is going to be white, with the triangular sections in red (with black edging).
I think in total for that shell I've used up just under four sheets of tamiya masking.
It's actually an much easier design than my last shells, although the narrow (2mm) thick edging sections was a little difficult to get exactly how I wanted it, and the cross on the top took forever to get central and not wonky....
Anyway as a quick comparison heres the Losi skoda I previously mentioned.
One final thing to note is this, as the thread title suggests, both of these (in fact all my shells) are done with can's, as I can't bring myself to get someone else to do them, I enjoy it too much
I'll take some more pics tomorrow at vaious stages, I finsihed work today, and have the rest of the week off, plenty of time to do the shell. Now must remember, lots of light coats, lots of light coats.....
Regards
Ed

Very nice. Did you cut the tape first, then transfer it or did you cut in place?

Looks great but i'm curious why no black window edges on the front and rear windows like you did on the sides?
Very good work for just using cans and masking. It shows novices that they dont need an airbrush for a cool design.
