Default help...gonna paint my first lid

ok i have a buggy and a sc body to paint. i had some sweet auburn paint mask made up with a tribal back ground behind the AU. i am gonna paint it orange and blue. i am afraid that the blue will come thru the orange. i would really like to have the body orange and the paint mask area blue. just worried the blue will come thru the orange. help a noob out!

The orange will need to be backed with white or silver before the blue is applied.

If you do not back it most likely your orange will darken up.

thanks for the heads up. will two cans of orange be enough to paint a sc and a buggy body? i have one can of blue. will have to pick up a can of white.

Should be plenty if you aren't piling it on.

If possible, try to spray the blue first.

If you can't do that, back the orange with a light coat of white to brighten it up, then a light coat of silver as a blocker.

Note, above advice is mainly for fluorescent or other semi transparent oranges. A normal old opaque orange just back with a bit of silver for insurance. Some sort of metallic or pearl orange will usually look best with just silver backing.
