I read a bunch but it sounds like I am better off with an oil free compressor. Thinking about going with this compressor. My compressor now is 1/3hp cheap one from harbor freight and just doesn't have the CFM I need. I use a filter on the line as well. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

How difficult is it to clean the gun afterwards?

Liquid mask breaks down in water. I spend 5-10min cleaning it after I do my last coat. You never get all of it out, but spatter doesn't really effect liquid mask.

Can you use this same gun for air brushing as well? Or would something with a smaller tip be better

Hello,

I bought an Iwata Eclipse HP-BCS and an Olympo TC-80 automatic compressor (0 to 40 psi).

I am new so I wanted to clear some doubts.
Is it normal for the compressor to drop from 35 psi, to 20psi when I am using the airbrush? In fact, it doesn't matter what pressure do I start with, it will always drop to 20psi when I use it.
I can not get the airbrush to draw a thin line. I mean, it is not even close. From what I have seen on the internet I should get a 0.2cm line for example, and the smaller I can paint is a line of 0.7cm which is a lot!

Thanks! Hope somebody clears my mind!

Take the very tip off airbrush. You can get a finner thin line that way. Be careful thou you can damage needle very easily because it is exposed.

I had the same question a few weeks ago when I was looking. It seems last June he had a fire and hasn't reopened.

The Bitty masking is pretty decent.

It's been many many years since I used it but I had good luck with Hobbico liquid mask in the past. Local hobby shop always had it in stock so anytime I ran out of Dively and needed some now, I'd just run down there and grab a bottle.

For those who are spraying liquid mask in a HVLP gun, do you have to thin it? I have a 1.5mm needle HVLP air gun from amazon and the needle kept clogging. What would be a good ratio to thin it?
