I'm pretty sure it uses a few small screws and maybe some double sided tape. All done after painting.

There should be assembly instructions with the body.

In all the other HPI shells I've done thay include some double sided tape and the instructions tell you where to place the tape. However I have also found that the tape alone is sometimes not enough and I usually use some small 4/40 screws/nuts to make sure it does'nt come loose durring a race.

O and yes you should paint it first then install.

I take the rear piece after its cut out and everything is painted and put Shoe Goo on the 3 tabs that go inside the body. Then once in place put a couple paper clips on the side tab and body to hold it together while it dries. Once dry I take and smear a light coat of more shoe goo on the inside where the seams from the 2 pieces meet. No issues whats so ever here. Some pretty wicked rear hits to body and hasnt come undone on multiple cars.
