Testors Ultimate Airbrush Set with Compressor

What do you think about this kit for me a beginner
http://www.testors.com/product/13711...ith_Compressor
I want to use Parma paints (they can be shipped to me by air because of paint being water base)

Is that the actual price $270.00?
If it is, it is WAY out of line.
Call Coast Airbrush in Anahiem Ca. and order an Iwata Eclips for about $100.00 or so, and then pick up the small airbrush compressor from Harbor Freight for about $60.00. Iwata make a great airbrush and can handle your painting needs as you improve. I would not touch that one you listed for that much money.

Do not waste your money. Do what brc358 said. I do not have an Iwata now, but they are nice brushes. I do have a compressor from Harbor Freight and it works great.

If you are a beginner to airbrush, don't buy a beginner airbrush. The results will be discouraging. I would spend the money (half of the $270) on expert Iwata, etc. airbrush, around $80 for a compressor (Sears, etc) plus a few dollars for a moisture trap.
I did not become a good airbrusher until a bought a good airbrush. Mine cost over $200 and I never had a bad paintjob again and that has nothing to do with talent.

Even at that price it is not worth it. I own 2 Talons and love them. Paasche as come a long way on their brushes. I also own 2 Devilbiss Dagr. That may be another to look into, alone with the Iwatas.

For the talon look into this, I bought mine from them on ebay. Cannot beat this deal. Comes with all 3 tips.

The testors Airbrush works great when the tips are new....its VERY easy to use and to get into Airbrushing with. There are better airbrushes out there I still have yet to find one that feels as nice as this testor one does in my hand. I also like that the hose is at the back of the brush not in the middle. All the airprush tips that Testors offers you can do any size paint job.....the key to this brush is to keep the tips clean...or just buy new ones. When I used one for while I would just throw out the tip after about 20 paint jobs....new tips always spray better...and they are cheap for the most part. If you were going to go this way I would get the airbrush on its own and then get a compressor from Harbor Freight....the one that comes in this kit isnt very good. I have airbrushes from iwata, TC and Badger they all work well....but really none of them feel as good as this one does in my hand.
