Default Camo and other patterns

O Kay, I've always bitched about checkers and flames; I can't stand them. But my point is, how would you go about a camo or Gucci Pattern? Masking with liquid mask would be too hard and too detailed. Check the pic for example; Its Travis Pastrana's rally Car.

More pics please - I might have to give that scheme a shot for this weekend on the Caddy I've been dying to paint.

Get some "clingfilm" and low tack frisket film mask that is made especially for air brushing. Make your design on a computer. Run the "clingfilm" through your ink jet. Cut out your designs and paste them on the car.

Spray your design and remove each one that you want to paint in the order that you want to hide show detail.

Although not an R/C example, this describes the technique and gives some other good ideas

Also, if you are looking for other cool ideas, look in the inkjet section of this page.

You can make some cool stickers with these vinyl sticker sheets. Everything from metallic to hollographic

Default Gucci

I was toying around with a Gucci and Louis Vuitton pattern for last year's HPI World Finals. The problem was the masking... it would've been a b***** to place and take out the masks since i'm very impatient and bad with my hands. Anybody successful with the Gucci or Louis Vuitton paint?

Thanks guys, I think I'll try the vinyl sheet with a cutter through Adobe Illustrator. Not sure if it will be detailed enough, but wish me luck.

I'll probably try leadfoot's advice for the clingfilm, looks like more detail. This may take a while.
