Default how long do i let my paint dry before i put on protective rustoleum coating?

I just finished my body about an hour ago. It's dry and i would like to get one coat of rustoleum on so it can dry overnight since it takes forever to dry.

Is it ok to put it on now? or should i let the paint dry overnight? Every coat i did was dried with a heat gun.

i used 12 colors.

I waited two days, but I didn't use a heat gun to dry it, and I used water-based acrylic. In your case, I'd at least let it sit overnight.

I dry everything with a hair dryer, and wait over night to do it.

what is the point of the rustoleum?
just a thick final coat to help eliminate paint ruboffs in hitting the boards?

Naw It's so yer body won't rust

Yep, the rustoleum is a good hard final coat. Really make a difference in my basher tests too.

I've done it with as little as 30 mins, I try to let it sit overnight if I can. Use the flat rustoleum protective paint, it drys like 500% faster, I have no idea why the gloss takes so long to dry.
