Default how can i get paint off of body?

I am painting a mbx6 body, and i messed up pretty bad. I went with a clean rag and water to get the paint off. Most of it came off but there is a light film of blue left on parts of it. Is there any way to get it 100% off? I was going to take thinner or acetone to it but did not know if it would hurt the lexan.

thanks.

Default remove paint

I have used brake fluid many times. Works great
Once the paint is loosened up, just rinse it with a water hose.
If some of the paint does not come off<there is always some that will not> take a scotch brite pad and use this to remove the remaining paint.Be sure and not to scuff up the inside of the windows with the pad.
Again rinse it, and then clean the complet body with denatured alcohol.
If you used a blade to cut a design on the inside of the body, you will have paint that will still be in the recess of the blade cuts. So if you painted say a dark color, and then want to repaint with a light color, these cut lines with the paint will show on the new paint job.

If you just have a spot that you messed up on can you put some brake fluid on a rag and use that to clean it up? Or is the use just for removing the paint from the whole body?

You can use just a little big of Nitro fuel on a rag to take off paint... It won't mess up the lexan too bad.

Nitro fuel is oil based. If you use this on only a part of the body, then you will have an oil residue left from the fuel. You will be trying to clean the oil residue from the body without damaging the painted area that you want to keep

IF you painted the shell with acrylic based paint just get some 92% Isopropoly Alcohol.
Dump the bottle into the shell and let it sit for 10 minutes, then dump out the alcohol and wipe the paint away with a rag.

Repeat the process for any remaining paint.

The alcohol will not react with the shell so there is not fogging or concern of damage to the shell.
