LM washes off in warm water, when it is still fresh, pretty easy from the brush. I would imagine you would want to start cleaning it as soon as you were done applying, maybe even soak it and do not let it set. I know you were looking for a remark from an air brush artist, but this is just my 2 cents

I sprayed LMF once.

Never again. The hairy stick is my choice for LMF.

I've been spraying Dively for years and for me, its the only way to apply it. I like the uniform thickness that spraying provides. I use a HVLP detail spray gun. Cleans up with warm water.

I was using a long handle brush, and then tried one of the foam brushes.
What a difference, There are virtually no imperfections with the foam brush. I found with a normal brush you coud get brush streaks if you did not brush it in tight. I started buying the foam brushes in packs in different sizes now, and they are working great for me. Wash them out once or twice to reuse, and then trash them and grab a new one.

For me, it was the time more than anything. For somebody who needs to mask 10 bodies at a time, yeah, the sprayer is a great option. And if you have the HVLP gun, also a plus.

I generally only mask 1-2 bodies at a time, and it's easier for me to just brush it on and clean the paintbrush versus my airbrush.

Spraying definately gave a smooth result, but the overspray requires a dropcloth behind the work area, or that latex is everywhere.

Again, for me, it's just not the best option. My volumes are too low.

The overspray is definitely one thing I don't like about spraying! I have everything covered with towels or something in my shop to keep them clean, lol.

The biggest problem I had was it came out dry as dust and ended up mostly as overspray. Now I tried this in summer and summer here meens 110 degree temps so that may have had something to do with it. Also like Dave I dont do that many bodies so applying with a brush is much easier.

Sounds like you need more PSI and open the needle. I open the needle up and close the spray pattern. Another option is to thin the LM, but have to be careful not to thin too much.

You guys that brush it on, how do you do it? Do you brush a coat, let it dry, brush another?

When I spray, I spray 3-4 heavy coats at once, set in front of a fan and in a few hours, the body is ready for cutting.

With Bob Dively mask, I brush on 3 heavy coats and sit it infront of a box fan or a small box heater. I let each coat dry before I apply another.
With Parma FasMask, I brush on 2 heavy coats. Again, I let it dry between each coat.
