I know a lot of materials could be used, but what is generally used? What is the plastic sheeting? And what thickness?

Does anyone have a link to a source?

Thanks, Mike

What I'm looking for is what material is used to make stencils like the ones used for the real fire effect and things like that.

Can anyone help me out?

Overhead projector sheets work, what every you use it should be flexable and not scratch the paint already layed down.

You can buy stencil material, or you can go by a dentist office or doctors office and ask for old or over exposed x-rays. It makes great stencils, is reusable, durable and most importantly its FREE!
