To be honest they look good until they start getting scratched up. If you plan on racing dirt is just like sand before long your graphics is going to start looking rough

I have used the wraps for a couple years now and they last far longer, and look much better after allot of use.My sons Slash has one body with a Upgrade wrap that lasted a whole year of clubracing we clean it up and then use some auto spray wax on it and it looks like new! My 1/8th scale wraps are great they do not scratch and are easy to apply, make sure to use a hairdryer on low heat and stretch and conform it To The body ...try them you will like them!

I have never used upgrade r/c, but can only comment on the products we use in house. We use actual wrap film for all wraps. Be it R/C, Full size vehicles to refrigerators... So you will not get bubbles with the film we use. It actually has little channels in the adhesive to push the air out causeing the vinyl to lay flat on the surface. Depending on the vinyl and laminate used it will actually increase the thickness of the lexan body & causing better rigidity for the body . There are also wax made for vinyl wraps (allegedly to increase the life of the wrap) we have never used them all though I doubt it would hurt...

it all depends on you and how much time your vehicle spends on it's lid relative to how much time it spends on its wheels
lots of wrecking crashing and thrashing and nothing lasts long

Air egress type of vinyls are not the best material for R/C body wraps.
Easier to apply.
But, they won't adhere to the body as well.
and will not wold up as well to abuse.

MX grade materials are preferred.
