note to charlie - should make this a sticky really.

good place for everyone to upload their logos etc.

i use cutstudio so dont know if i can convert them to eps etc or not. i can use eps in illustrator then take that into cutstudio with the plugin, but just not sure about the other way round.

Download set-up sheets and manuals of the various manufacturers. They are pdf's and can be opened in illustrator, and alot of the time contain vector logos.

also brandsoftheworld.com has a few.

2 very useful imaging programs...

ImageMagick - can convert just about any image to any other kind of image. Check it out, its free open source windows or linux.

GIMP - Gnu Image Manipulation Program. Also windows or linux. Free alternative to photoshop. Is so configurable that you can get plugins (or make them) to make the interface like photoshop (if you are one of those... 'old dogs new tricks') Also can convert nearly any type of image to another (via ImageMagick )

I love GIMP. I use it on both Linux and Windows. I highly recommend it. I find it runs best on Linux though. GIMP is a little sluggish on Windows.

Linux/Unix uses memory much more efficiently the windows. Gimp was designed around the Linux flavored OS, therefore can utilize lot of memory to do very advanced tasks. To fix this when running in windows, mess with that reservation memory it asks you to set when installing. I would guess you have that set so high that it is fighting the windows OS for memory windows uses for overhead. Setting it lower will actually enable most things to run faster.

In general, image processing takes a lot of memory. I have had systems that seemed adequate for day to day use, however Photoshop simply curb stomped.

I've been vectorising almost every logo out there but it is impossible to post them here because of the size of the files. I'm making decals for a while now, but not selling (just for me and my friends) and that's why I have lot of logo's in .psd .eps and .ai format.
If anyone can get a central place where everyone can upload their stuff it can be beneficial to all.
Now I'm working on charger masks so I can upload this also.

I would be willing to print the items as well at a discounted rate.

You design and send me the file.
I print/laminate and mail back.

Tres,
I'm also printing/laminating and cutting them, but if anyone else need them they all know how to reach you I think.

I have a few RC logos that I'll try to get uploaded to brandsoftheworld.com in the next day or two. Mostly AE stuff.

Also I could really use some good Losi logos if anyone has them. I'd be happy to PM someone my e-mail address if they would prefer to just send them directly to me.
