Default help with transparent createx paint

Hey guys is there any were that would give a new painter what to back perticalar color to acheive a sertan look.

One example I have a bottle of createx sunrise yellow. the paint has a slight pigment of orange to it. I though great color. sorta like a orangie yellow,

I backed with white. (wrong) came out a pale yellow stl nice but not what I was hoping for.

If anyone can give any isight on this color and future painting color tips would be great.

In general the lighter the backing color the lighter the transparent will be. In your example if you'd backed with yellow you'd have goten the color you see in the bottle. If you'd backed with silver it would have had a golden-greenish tone to it. I just did a test strip with porn star pink(an auto air color) and backed with white its a violet-pink and backed with silver its a magenta color.

For RC you should really stick with opaques and florescents. The transparents are nice, but require loads of coats to get the right color, which makes for a heavy body. You should try 5410 Fluor. Sunburst. It looks similar to sunrise yellow.
