If you plan on doing any printing of logos to be cut out then you want a contour cutting cutter.... If your just doing mask all you need is a regular cutter.... Adobe Illustrator is best to do your vector art in and is transferable to any cutter. Just save the file as an .eps

I have a Desay Masters 36" cutter and I use Illustrator as well as Photoshop for editing. The Roland Stika cutters are not supported in Windows 7 so just beware.

Yes. Sorry, I had a SX-12 and it wasn't. Should have mentioned the model.

I need some help on app tape. I currently use RTape 4050RLA, but cannot seem to find any. Most all of the places have 4075RLA. This is suppose to be a high tack where mine is medium. How much more tacky will the 4075 be? I just need to make sure when I put the mask on the body it stays on the body instead of the tape.

How well does it conform to the bodies?

Works pretty well. Doesn't conform quite as well as the standard transfer tape but shure does release better and make it easier to see if your lined up.

Does anyone know where I can get some 8.5X11 masking that I can cut with my vinyl cutter that will go around curves easily and will withstand R/C lacquer paints?

Oracal 810 vinyl works good. They don't sell sheets that small though. You might be able to buy it by the yard at a local sign shop......

Default Vinyl Mask

What vinyl mask works best on r/c bodies. the mask i have been using doesnt like to conform to the odd shapes of the bodies. but still peels clean and easy.
