How to cut windshield air hole.

What is the best way to cut the holes in the front and back windshield? I only have about a 1/2'' drimmle. Lexan scissors maybe?

Yup, drill a hole with your dremel to give you a place to start your cut, then use the scissors to cut it out.

There is a adjustable hole cutter with an exacto type blade in it available at local hobby shops.

I use the OLFA tool bought at my LHS. It can adjust for different sizes and does a great job of scoring the hole. I generally will cut to the score line with scissors and start the flex until it comes off process. Clean up burrs with the dremel.

In a pinch I have traced a wheel the size I want with a sharpie and cut with body scissors.

I use a dremel, body scissors and X-acto.

Windsheild holes

I use a 2" or 2 1/4" hole saw attached to my drill. Works nice and clean.
On the rear winndsheild I use the hole saw and elongate the opening with a dremmel tool.
I smooth all edges with a dremmel tool.

I use Forstner drill bits. They are available at about all home centers and woodworking stores. They cut very smoothly. I back the body on a piece of wood before drilling. Available in sizes from 1/8" up to very large 3 1/2-4". Not too expensive either.

Cut the hole with a scissors and dremel the edges smooth.

I use a circle stencil that I got from the art store. I use the circle that is just below 60mm. Once I draw the circle on the front/rear windows, I use a reamer just to start a small hole for the cuts. I then use my sissors and start from the hole that I reamed out and cut to the point of where I made the circles with my sharpie pen. If you cut clean enough, you don't have to bust out the dremel tool for smoothening out the rough edges.

Save the headache and spend the 6 bucks on this circle cutter. You'll wonder how you cut bodies without it.

Cuts perfect wheel wells and fuel holes in seconds. Just score and snap it out.
