hey guys, i am looking for some opinions on the best products to clean bodys, i just got a new one and want to do it the best way to keep it looking good as long as it lasts? i have always used pledge, but it seems to make the windows scratch and they arent as crystal clear as they were. i also tried fashine body wash and wax, but the paint on the inside of one of my old bodys didnt seem to like it becuase i swear it ate into it and smeared it. any suggestions would be great

I mix concentrate simple green and denatered alcohol in a spray bottle and spray it on and then 1-2min. later hose them off. Afterwords wipe the outside with a cloth lightly sprayed with wd40.

Dry (or mildly moist) soft cloth for the inside. For the outside use dynamite body cleaner with a dry sot cloth. It costs about $5 a bottle. Don't use it on the inside as it will strip the paint. I think other companies make body cleaners.

Ditto on the simple green. It works great - never bothered adding the alcohol though.

Another trick I used to help keep the body clean on race day is to coat the outside with Future floor wax. Get the outside of the body nice and squeaky clean and apply a few coats of Future. It dries to a hard clear finish and helps to repel mud, etc. Also makes cleaning alot easier. Recoat as necessary.

+ 1 on the wd40 & simple green removes tire scuff marks easily for bigger scratches, i just cover it up with a decal

I use wd40 for my bodies as well.

Alcohol is great though...

oddly enough my dad has been using zippo lighter fluid since the 60's when he ran slot cars, works like a champ inside and out, takes tire marks off with ease
