Default which layer goes first?

Hello,

I'm confused with this. How do you plan on painting the layers of paint?

There are some instructions that show that you paint the pattern first then the full body color. And some, vice versa.

Is there like a rule of thumb for this?

Looks like a great scheme to me, very eye catching.
Thanks, those were taken at the begining of last race season before any of them were run. The bodies are pretty bad now after a long rough season. Thanks for the input.

well i use 3M blue masking tape. i mask the whole body.
draw out the lights and grill. then cut it out.
draw the design on the body. then cut themain design (black and pink outline thing) once the design is cut. paint black first and then pink.
then sky blue and white for the base coat.
then window trim and wing with black.

to tell you the truth it is hard to explane, give me your email address and i will send you pictures step by step how i paint my bodies. it is easier for me. well thanks.

I've read that a long time ago. But it's mostly just ideas and practical broad instructions. I want to see a specific thing done step by step so I can formulate my ideas using it. I've seen some in RC Car Action magazines but that was the only one I saw.
