anyone know how to paint an rc body so it has a dull primer look?

if you mask the outside of the windows and airbrush on a harsh solvent (acetone ?) it may dull the lexan

I have gotten that effect by accidently trying to remove overspray with Pactra thinner wiped on the body with a rag....the pure thinner will blur the lexan giving the paint showing through the inside a flat appearance...but I believe it will also weaken the lexan. Would be difficult to keep it consistent...and consider how much dirt or tire debris that will attract.
