Default Bought a vintage body: Smoothing out wrinkled decals?

I bought a vintage (~20 years old) new body on eBay and couldn't see the condition of the window masks and decals until the body arrived in the mail. The decal sheets and window masks are all wrinkled up pretty badly. Is there any saving these? I figure I can probably use masking tape for the window masks so I don't risk botching that up, and maybe the exterior decals will smooth out once applied? Adhesive may not be very sticky anymore though.
