Pro-Line paints/airbrushing safe indoors?
#1

Looking to paint my first body with an Airbrush and Pro-Line paints. Are these safe to use indoors? My hobby area is in a small basement room. Thanks.

The Pro-Line paints are acrylic based, so there aren’t any potent fumes to deal with, but even so, I would recommend wearing some kind of respiratory protection and if you can, create a makeshift paint booth, even if it is something that just sucks air in through a filter. You’re dealing with tiny particles of paint. So I definitely recommend it in a closed space.

When I airbrush with acrylics I still wear sometype of at least light face mask. It is best to avoid breathing in any particles that you don't need too. Also you can build a cheap airbrushing booth using hot glue and foam board from Dollar Tree for less than $10. Depending on what stuff you have laying around you can make it with a box fan, furnas filter and light for less than $20.

Thanks. I bought the Wagner spray booth and am going to use that with a box fan and filter. I have a respirator already just wasn't sure if the paint was toxic. Hoping the over spray is nonexistent with this setup. Thanks!

i blasted myself with the airbrush once because of unfortunate ventilation and body position. woke up 3 hours later on the floor with a headache and no idea what the hell happened. be careful and wear a mask!
