If it's a Warm-cool (yellow to dark green) or contrasting color (orange to blue) paint change, I disconnect, unscrew the tip, and flush it with water through tip and brush body (or thinner, if it's lacquer paint).

If it's a warm warm or cool cool (green to blue, orange to yellow) I might spray a little water or just burn through some extra paint. This also makes for good fades, obviously.

I just get a cup of hot water , fill it with some windex and alcohol....submerge the tip and inlet of the airbrush and spray away. I then take it out.

Put my finger of the top and spray , this jets the air back into my brush and squeezes it out of the paint inlet.

After doing this process a few times and making sure nothing spits back out. I then fill up a little fasklean and spray that through the brush from low to high pressure.

Then spray until its dry and I let it sit...sometimes taking it apart after im done for the day and cleaning it thoroughly.
