Where have you guys found the holder and are you able to order one stock wheel for it?
Looking forward to seeing this. What system will you be running?

TP Power 5860 650kv (20hp) motor and R-Snake 400a 16s ESC to start running dual 7s batts. I know the motor is good but I'm trying the ESC out for first time. If it doesn't suffice I will get 400a MGM.

Killer, I look forward to seeing that! The tire holder I got from DDM, it's in the Baja section. And wheels I had to buy in pairs, I bought all tower had and more from Ddm.

Mine arrived yesterday
A most impressive beast for sure . using a luggage scale was 18.5 front 18.7 back w/o the cage on so should be able to get it flying straight with some shock adjustments .
Just awaiting ddm stuff so it can be put back together dead simple to work on

Does the scale trick work? I've always found center point and adjust batts trays and or other parts to keep the balance when rested on center point. Never thought about using scale like that

Not directly, but KrakenRC did contact Turtle Racing to ask for their blessing with regard to the airbox which is heavily inspired from the Turtle Racing air box for the Losi 5IVE. The first offering for VEKTA aftermarket parts from Turtle is the snapper clutch. Once my stock clutch packs it in I am going to give it a try. I have not yet tried the snapper on any of my other RC's.

Do you know if the TR airbox will fit the Vekta ?

Will it hit the cage .....

Someone else asked that yesterday so I grabbed an airbox to eyeball it. Short answer - no. Long answer; the TR air box does appear to be too thick. I also speculate that the angle that the air box leans at (towards the back of the car) is too laid down and the filter would then have clearance problems with the vertical chassis plate. The other potential issue is that a filter like the HPI Baja filter would probably also have clearance issues with tuned pipes like the Dominator and potentially other pipes that will eventually surface on the market.
