OK, thank you for advice...I'm ordering this:

So I'll check out the Losi site for manual/parts view for their 5iveT?

Just went on King Motor website. Saw the buggy to truck conversion kits. Based on what you guys said earlier I could have saved some loot converting over my buggy to a truck to accept the Baja Class 1 roll cage rather than going the HPI parts route by maybe working a deal for the kit without the truck body. Oh well next time I'll be more diligent.
Just recvd my KM Racing Pioneer wheels. Compared to the Rovan wheel set I got 2 years ago, these KM Pioneer wheels seem pretty well put together. I don't think I'll have to take them apart and reassemble. Nice that.

Here's a link to the Rovan LT305 thread...has some pictures/posts of some issues.
http://www.rctech.net/forum/oval-lar...ompatible.html
Fairly new thread, will grow as more owners add updates regarding their Rovan's -- just received mine a cpl days ago, and as soon as work allows I will start tearing it apart, checking for issues.

tip: If it has the extended hubs / wide track. Which I pretty sure it does. On both my buggy and sc truck the rear hub drive pin tends to work loose and fall out. Really easy to loose and put and end to a fun day of running. So... remove the grub screw in the hub and re-threadlok it and tighten it down good. For an advanced tip file a flat spot on the pin so the grub screw has something to seat on. Also, you may want to oil the air filter as I think they come dry. Thats about it.
There are tons of option / upgrades available. I would consider upgrading the servos to high voltage for both steering and throttle so you can use a lipo receiver pack. That would be a worthy upgrade.

This is the extended rear wheel hub. The hex of the wheel doesn't cover the hub where the drive pin goes thru since these are extended. The only thing holding the drive pin in place is the set screw shown. The screw needs to be locktite and the pin really needs a flat spot for the screw to seat on it. The screw goes thru the center of the hub and tightens down on the drive pin. If the pin comes out your done unless you have a replacement OR get lucky and find it. Not likely.

What steering servo is used in King Motor vehicles? The Spring RC servo in my Rovan buggy stripped out...and so did the name brand Futaba S3306MG I replaced it with. Turns out the name brand Futaba was a hybrid metal/plastic gear servo.
I'm looking at the Rovan servo S8218. I wonder if its improved over the Rovan/KM servos of several years ago (as in FULL Metal). I know the torque of the S8218 is double of the old Spring RC servo.

I'm looking to get a KM 1/5 scale for my 11yr son. Between the three he likes the T1000 GT Truck Short Course. Only thing I don't like about the SC truck is the front & rear aluminum bumpers. These can easily be swapped out to plastic right? Also does RPM make replaceable A-Arms for the SC truck or only the 5B & 5T? Thanks!
#73

The arms are the same on all three.
#74

Just wondering what other better motors are there for the KM buggys.

What would be a good engine upgrade for a km buggy to make it more faster?
