What kind of track are you running on? Loose dirt or clay? I would buy a custom works car from www.kippshobbies.com kipp is a dealer for both Custom Works and Hyperdrive. Both are great cars.

For clay you can't really go wrong with any of the name brands.
Custom Works
Pemberton Raceworks
JRC
Hyperdrive
Murfdogg

Most all these name brand builders also offer both loose dirt rubber tire cars and clay down tire cars. You can also Check out more about dirt oval racing at www.dirtoval.com

Go with the Custom Works or Hyperdrive. No mater where you race, there will be driver's piloting these cars. The others are good cars as well, but these are your most prevelent. As far as a conversion for a buggy to a sprint or late model, this can work well too.. The one benefit of these being, if the class dies out, you can go back to the buggy/truck set-up. For this, check out Speedy's Racing Products, or CCS Custom Chassis Systems. Good luck to ya'!

Default Here in IL we run

Hi Guys

Here in IL we run 2wd slashes that have been converted into modifieds
for the dirt oval we have about 15 guys for now that run these and we have
a blast I have seen them also make them into late models and they are cool
The custom works are neat as long as you have the bucks to buy one

Take care
Jeff

Been running the Slash as a modified as well here in the St. Louis area and loving it. I plan on running another class on the dirt soon, but I will be keeping my Slash. Too much fun to give it up.
