Thumbs up

Nice. I sure you will enjoy that. Make sure to check the Baja forums for some tips before running.

are you implying that the OP is a idiot and can't figure out how to run the thing on his own?

He's probably not implying that.

How are your comments in any way related to the OP getting a sweet new RC??? Leave it alone in this thread, make your own thread to feud.

My first plans are a killswitch. Now that I have an idea of how big this thing is, it would be BAAADDD to have this thing run off. After that, I'll probably only replace what I break, no sense in going overboard right away. Everything in 1/5th scale is $$$

oh, and don't worry about the two here that are just stirring things up. I'm sure before long they'll be banned, the forum doesn't really look kindly on kids that just log on to harass.

Wink

Kill switch for sure. I highly recommend crankcase cover and even pullstart cover if you're running off road. You can even save money and DIY.

My friend who races baja mentioned the other mod I should do first is an aluminum clutch bearing holder. I haven't looked into that. I guess the stock plastic one is prone to failure? BTW, if you do a lot of 1/5 scale, he's also the guy that makes the Axis RC rocket stands http://www.axisrc.com/ Expensive, but they're REALLY nice. I'm getting the friend discount

I bought a hydraulic creeper stool for $30 and took the wheels off. My Baja 5sc and Rampage mt sit on it equally well. Got the idea from some guys doing just that with an adapter plate instead of the seat for weeeeeell over $100 plus shipping. Thanks capitalism! Some of the telescoping tripod styles made from scratch can be pretty nice too. Saw one bought at home depot and made a top plate for it. Still quite inexpensive.

You will definitely like the aluminum clutch carrier assembly. If you're on a budget you can do a mod to the pinion bolt which helps alot but gear mesh can still be an issue if you run her hard.
