With all the ppl at HBF forums making a song and dance about needing huge connectors etc for their Baja's it's interesting that HPI has a single deans on there.

I like this truck , I think adding a xl2 and ditching the mmm should make this run a bit better , possibly a motor upgrade also if after market mounts will fit or can be made. Same a savage almost but if you add up the body they are using and the few other little things the savage flux doesn't have the price is almost right , could be a little less when it hits shops.

KV on the stock motor for 6S is pretty high. personally I liked the feel of my conversion with 4S and a lower Kv motor.

A friend and I were just out with my Baja 5b Flux and his 5sc. Unfortunately he's managed to fry the stock servo! Any recommendations for a replacement? I'm thinking one of the Savox high torque servos. Anyone know is a 1/5 scale servo can be made to fit as it seems silly for HPI to have put in a standard size!

I replaced the stock servo in my baja with a Savox pretty much as soon as I got the kit and the standard servos are rubbish!

Savox 1256MG is a direct fit for the 5sc flux. I have one in mine.....if you do a yahoo search you will find a rc article where a guy talks about upgrading to this servo with photos, etc.

Any other reviews or opinions on this truck. Looks pretty decent for the price.

Ok, so if I want to do some upgrades to this truck do I look for savage parts? Looking to upgrade the rear hubs and front castor blocks And steering knuckles.

Do they make a stiffer spring for the rear? The truck really squats on power. Also does anyone know what the stock diff and shock fluids are in the truck?? What oils is everyone swapping out to????
