Dude... it's amazing. It's typical Traxxas fisher-price-esque nonsense at its finest. A giant stable platform that isn't a high end car so you don't mind if you back flip it over your house and land it in the neighbors pool.

I'm going to strap rocket engines to mine and see if I can make it go back in time.

Thumbs up!

1/7 Scale. Most of the time Traxxas can be applauded for being innovative and different. But what market are they trying for with a 1/7 scale car with a Suggested Selling Price $1099.99

I think I would rather see a VXL powered on-road on 11.1v at 1/3 the price.

Why all the hate for a new product? I agree that I wish they had gone with a standard size (1/8) but look at all you get in the package:

1. 2x 5000 mah 3s lipos
2. huge motor (that dwarfs the 2200kv it looks like)
3. a decent radio!
4. MMM esc (granted its a new variant and will more than likely have some issues)

If you conservatively price out these by themselves I ended up with around $550 ($75 per battery, 100 for motor and esc, 200 for radio). Plus when was the last time you saw a car sell for MSRP? I'd be anxious to see what it would do on 4s and with some better servos.

Say what you will but Traxxas knows its customer base. The first question any non-R/C person asks is "how fast does it go"? Many people don't want to tune or even race but just want to be able to go 100mph in an R/C car.

Second, Traxxas brings the newest smartphone technology to R/C. Huge selling point and really cool.

Ugly @$$ traxxas body. Yet another useless traxxas product. Stick to making monster trucks. If I want to go fast at this scale I'll go by a Kyosho Inferno.

It will go for about $600-$800. I'd say $689
