I hear ya all makes and models do I think its good. I ordered aluminum a-arms already

I just went and took a bunch of side by side pictures (uploading now!) and a short little cheesy video of the rear end of the XO-1... Use it to compare to the XO-1 to whatever else you guys want... I went through the spec manual that is given with the model as well. That said...........

My stampede uses 2 different shock towers I honestly never noticed I thought they were both the same, and they are very similiar but a bit different. The front shock tower is the same as the XO-1. So that is good news. The turnbuckles are standard as well so get the color that tickles your fancy

The differentials are the same. I looked at the schematics as well the casings and everything else I could and they are the same... the part numbers nor do they look the same in the exploded views in the spec book, at least as my stampede. From what I know they stampede and slash use the same diffs. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Front and rear tires are different widths, rears a bit wider. The axles are awesome an will probably work on different vehicles, dunno about the Slash or stampede though since the diffs are different. The length appears to be a bit longer as well. The front and rear axles are different also.

The shocks are GTR shocks. The part number is 5460/5460A. Bored my cousins revo 3.3 and the shocks appear to be the same. I thought they were different never saw Revo suspension really up close and examined it.

Anyway more pics and comparison stuff is coming in a little bit jsut uploading now

Anything else you want to look at? The

So would the rpm slash a arms fit on this? It would seem logical to get those to me, because if they break you can send them in and get new ones back. And if they happen to bend, just put them in some hot water and bend them back. Wouldnt add as much weight as some other aftermarket parts.

Yea RPMs should work no problem, as any other brand. I'm going to go all aluminum I like the look of it

Here are the pictures and a small video I made of the rear end in my "lab":

Video: http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f2...t=MVI_0209.mp4

You can see the rear shock tower on my stampede is different. But the front pictured above is the same.

This is a stock A-arm out of my stampede I had as an extra part.

Have fun with this!! Hopefully cleared some air. Sorry about being a bit on edge before also, I want to prove facts before going on here-say. I guess I need to see it with my own eyes. Have anymore questions or want some sort of picture let me know.

What they did was what I did to my gt8 lite....the put a front style shock tower on the back. I REALLY want the uprights, knuckles and axles, also want the shock tower LOL. I know it looks more scale, but the more I look at this, the more I really wish they'd not stretched the chassis ......

I've seen a few videos and read a few reviews but still can't see the point of spending $1000 to got up and down the steet where they should not be ran in the first place. I think it would be fun if you could race them in an oval or something, but after a few speed runs what else can you do with it?

welll we sold one, And it looks great. the customer left for awhile and came back ready to lay it down on our 500ft banked oval..

all amped up it was hard to get the car under controlled, then he begged to bring the shops fastest car out . haha well not a car, but a RC8T E conversion.

Well lets just say AE (1) and XO (0), Sorry to say but the oval was dominated by the rc8 and the drag race wasnt even close.

to the defense of the XO, the RC8T has more suspension and wider tires.

great concept. just wished it was a XO-2 Truggy instead. Something where a couple rocks will not have it all upset.

my 2 cents.

Im not even sure if this will help, because they are on road tires, but the S1 (sorfer Compound) tires are in stock pre-glued on black dished rims. also, you HAVE to run the 100mph canard for the comparison to be fair, otherwise your lack of front traction (from the front end lifting) will force you to lower your speeds.
Do you have a pic of the track? I am working on a wedge body for the car for dirt oval.

All I can say is WOW about the TRAXXAS XO-1!!!!!
I took mine out today for the first time. It has been either to cold or nasty weather. I am using the stock out of the box settings. If I had stepped it up, I know I would have crashed. On the street you need to be in the throttle at least half way for the car to hook and go straight. Anything less you are looking to have an accident. I will install the micro camera this week and then head over to a mall parking lot.

Worth every penny and I have to reached the full potential. The steering is very crisp and sharp. Maybe it is me, but it appears that the steering works quicker the faster you go.

After you accelerate and coast, it will roll for a long time. I guess it is safe to say that the bearings work very well.

Two thumbs up to TRAXXAS. For those that bash the vehicle due to the price, it is to fast, no where to use it................. You don't know what you are missing, but I guess you will never know.

You should probably warm up the tires before you lay down some speed. That will help with traction and steering. The higher the speed the more sensitive your steering.
