Default 1/10 pancar, 2s lipo,brushless oval???

Is there anyone out there that runs a class like this?

I have been racing on and off for 23+ years and oval [flat track carpet is my favorite] seems to have died a painful death. I have seen the rules for the BRL, but 1s seems like a waste.

2s with a 21.5 or 17.5 seems like a blast.

Just asking!!!!!!!

2 cell carpet oval has died everywhere I race at. It has been replaced by 17.5 single cell with open esc.
Why? Have no clue.

We still run 2 cell 17.5 in central Wisconsin, I know that doesn't help you any.. That would be a long drive to go racing..LOL
Just wanted to say that I strongly agree... I love 2 cell 17.5 and don't see the point in the 1 cell stuff ether. I did try it at a small track just recently, and that wasn't to bad, But I still prefer the all out speed of the 2 cell 17.5..

Why did 2 cell oval pan car died?

I said the same thing when are club was running two cell 21.5 motors and
then switched to one cell 17.5 motors .

Why spend more money to go the same speed.
BRL is a joke!

Now one cell batteries cost more then two cell lipos.. LOL!

our series ( South-West Tour Series ) still runs 2 - 2cell oval classes.

Both are running 21.5 motors w/ 3300 mAh 2s Lipos, our STOCK CAR class runs open timing ESC's and our NASTRUCK class runs Non-Timing ESC's

These classes are dying off really bad this year though, now that we have 2 CARPET tracks, and NO velodrome...the 1 cell is winning out.

Default 2s

6 cell pancar is where i started 87. I hate one cell purely from the standpoint that you have to run a reciever pack an programable speedcontrollers are the norm
People are still complaining about the same shuff they complained about 10-20 years ago more power. Dropping a cell an getting a more expensive speedo makes lil sense to me

I've never seen a 2 cell race capable battery sell for $60 like the new 1 cells do!!! Good quality 2 cell is $100+!

The Thunder Power 3300 Race/Sport 2 cell packs have been awsome and very affordable, and the guys who still run this class have been very happy with the affordability and longevity of these packs. RCLIPOS.com had/has these packs for under 50 bucks "Shipped"

They were not a real high "C" rated pack, which was right what we were looking for - a Decent Pack, a great price....a perfect "Sportsman" class combination.

You did it RIGHT SWTour!!
How many guys race on any given race week?
I bet its a good turn out!

It comes down to POWER of your battery.
The higher the capacity and the C rating the faster you will be in ONE cell racing..
That's assuming you have a good brushless motor and rotor combo.

With the programmable timing increases your speed by using more amps.
As amps increase to a point where voltage will drop, making your vehicle slower. Also adds more heat to the motor as energy is wasted.

With dynos your tuning not only with your motor timing but the battery together for a set race time.

Thus, your force to always buy the next greatest battery pack in one cell.

Priceless..
