I hve a CW OUtlaw, and run an LRP sxx tc spec speed control with a novak ballistic 6.5 motor. Have a futaba s9551 low profile servo to keep the servo arm level to keep from locking up the steering rack.

Looks good. I was thinking of running a 6.5 also. Might start with a 10.5 and get a feel for it first. thanks for the pics

Hell a 13.5 was a handful in my car.
Anyway i mounted my battery sideways with 2 body posts and a plastic top i had made.
Gave me lots of room

Wow!! never thought of that option. really putting the weight on the left side. Does it handle any better than the stock setup? Thanks for the option, great pics.. I also run for speedpassion so glad to see one installed.

I ran it on paved oval and it hooked great.
Never even cared to try putting the esc in the tail section

Not enough room to do side by side on a Outlaw chassis.
I did see one guy make a shelf on top of the battery to place the esc.

Great thread. Keep the pics and info coming! Curious to hear what motor size and gearing everyone is running in their Outlaw's.

Adjustment

Yes... the car will handle no matter what the brand is with the batter on the left hand side.... some people mount them on the battery on its side... and move all the electronics in the middle where the battery went.... if u do that then u can move it forward and back for alittle more steering or rear grip.... cause some of the cars guys run there wing isnt that adjustable.... in my own brand of cars... people used to laugh at them at first.... now o cant make them fast enough.... they ra so adjustable and look true to life like a REAL Sprint car..... i have 3 front end of the top wing mountin hights... the rear part of the top wing can go up and down by alomst 3 1/2 inches... and it can move fornt to back 4 1/2 which is over twice as much adjustmant as every one else.... and beside... my car weighs the same but 10 times as strong.... the guys at my local track figured out dont play tag ur it with my car cause there cars just broke when they tryed to do it........my car was designed to to run Foam & Rubber Tires....
